iykyk: On Fuzzy Consciousness
Curatorial Concept, 2026

This international group show explores the frontiers of human consciousness and the spiritual intelligence of dreaming. It radiates from a central concern: to unveil—or attempt to unfold—the unspeakables, the educated imaginaries, and the extrasensorial experiences obscured by the intellectual shortcuts we call language. It ventures into the realm of if you know, you know (iykyk): a phrase increasingly populating cultural spheres of the esoteric, the ephemeral, and the transcendental, signaling an alternative epistemology that is lived and practiced, yet remains fundamentally evasive to transmission and documentation. Shedding light on creative intuition of the arcane, this exhibition remains untamed, operating in a feral condition—undisciplined by rational systems, resistant to stable capture, and animated by inscrutable clairvoyance and weird poetics.

This exhibition is envisioned as an initiatory invitation to expanded consciousness, staged in a space of encounters and collective dreaming. Bringing together works by artists of cultural heritage spanning East Asia, the Americas, and Europe, it showcases a constellation of intimate visions, entranced states of being, and bold experimentation with worldbuilding verging on cosmic reimagination. Across painting, sculpture, and installation, the works form a whimsical assemblage of chromatic intensity and narrative ingenuity. Inspired by a plethora of thought systems, from Buddhist mindfulness to the surrealist romanticism of the poet Pablo Neruda, the artists adopt dreaming as a method of inquiry, mobilizing elements of the botanical, the bestiary, and the celestial to probe a feral unknown without a destination.
